Their individual contact info can be found in the directory. They want to hear from you!
WHEN ARE THE MEETINGS?
3RD MONDAY OF EACH MONTH
The minutes are available in the office, and a Board Report will be included in the newsletter.
CAN I ATTEND?
THEY ARE CLOSED AT THIS TIME
However, we share the goal of transparency and are working on ways to include
more public comments and feedback.
HOW MANY MEMBERS CAN THE BOARD HAVE?
7-12 MEMBERS
This is set by CSI's accreditation guidelines. Factors include existing group dynamics,
Society feedback, qualified nominees, and prayerful guidance.
HOW DOES SOMEONE BECOME A NOMINEE?
THEY ARE NOMINATED BY STAFF OR CURRENT LEADERSHIP
Nominations are the result of consistent involvement and a demonstrated heart for leadership.
Contact a Board member to express your interest or to recommend someone else.
HOW LONG IS A TERM?
TERMS LAST 3 YEARS
A member can serve up to two consecutive terms if re-elected,
but that must be followed by a 1-year mandated break.
HOW LONG IS AN EXECUTIVE POSITION?
POSITIONS ARE HELD FOR 1 YEAR
These roles are voted on internally. New members must serve one year prior to eligibility.
Members can be re-elected to the same executive position up to three times.
WHY DON'T WE HAVE ELECTIONS LIKE THE PUBLIC SCHOOS?
HERE, BOARD MEMBERSHIP IS NOT A POPULARITY CONTEST
As a 501(C)(3), we are loyal first to the mission of keeping MCS thriving and Christ-centered.

Our nominees are carefully vetted and prayed for, and much is required of them in both time and energy.
It's great to be connected, but we want someone who is answering a calling - not winning a contest.
If you're interested or would like to recommend someone, reach out to a Board member
or teacher and talk about your desire to be involved. They'd love to talk to you!
